Six Flags Friends is a series of programs throughout the Six Flags family of parks that make a difference in the community by encouraging local involvement, supporting the mission of various non-profit organizations and bringing the thrill of Six Flags to children and families across North America.

Six Flags Friends is a proud supporter of hundreds of organizations throughout our Six Flags communities. Through our national partnerships, we successfully utilize our geographic span to make a difference as a unified family of parks. Through our donation program we are able to contribute to many local organizations. Six Flags Over Texas is also pleased to support the work of organizations that make an impact in our surrounding neighborhoods. It is the work of the organizations below that truly make our cities a better place to live, work and enjoy.

Make-a-Wish Foundation

Make-a-Wish Foundation

Since 1980, the Make-A-Wish Foundation® has enriched the lives of children with life-threatening medical conditions through its wish-granting work. Six Flags is proud to be a part of this amazing wish-granting organization and is excited to fulfill the wishes of children who dream of visiting Six Flags Over Texas.

  • Big Brothers Big Sisters

    The Big Brothers Big Sisters mission is to help children reach their potential through professionally supported, one-to-one relationships with mentors that have a measurable impact on youth. Six Flags is proud to provide a platform for the Big Brothers Big Sisters program to develop positive relationships between mentors and children while enjoying a day at Six Flags Over Texas.

  • The Gladney Fund

    The Gladney Fund exists for the purpose of funding bright futures through adoption. By providing financial support for the Gladney Center for Adoption, the Center can continue to place children into loving families and continue to communicate the message of adoption as a loving way to build a family. Six Flags Friends is a supporter of the Gladney Fund and committed to their mission.

Give Kids the World Village

Give Kids the World Village

As an organization that provides cost-free vacations to children with life-threatening illnesses, Six Flags Over Texas partners with Give Kids the World Village through fundraising initiatives like Coasting for Kids and through the World Passport for Kids, raising thousands of dollars and donating hundreds of tickets each year.

  • Mission Arlington

    Through servant leadership, Mission Arlington has enriched the lives of many within the Arlington community by meeting physical and spiritual needs since 1986. Six Flags Over Texas is pleased to support their mission through culinary and retail donations, such as clothing and non-perishable food items, and volunteer opportunities, such as serving Thanksgiving meals.

  • Ronald McDonald House

    The Ronald McDonald House in Fort Worth has provided a supportive and stable home-away-from-home for families of children receiving medical treatment at area hospitals since 1981. Six Flags Over Texas is happy to provide paper goods for the facility during its annual “Paper the Holidays” drive held during the Thanksgiving and Christmas seasons.

Community Blood Drives

Community Blood Drives

Each fall, Six Flags Over Texas partners with Carter BloodCare to host community blood drives to assist with the constant need for blood. In 2021, more than 121 units of blood were collected to save more than 300 lives.

  • Arlington Life Shelter

    Since 1987, the Arlington Life Shelter has offered shelter and support services for the homeless of Arlington to help integrate them back into society. Six Flags Over Texas is proud to help the shelter continue its mission through clothing donations and a flip flop drive held by Six Flags Hurricane Harbor.

  • Boys & Girls Club

    During the holiday season, Looney Tunes characters and employees visit the Boys & Girls Club of Arlington to spend valuable time playing and laughing with young people. Six Flags Over Texas also donates tickets for Club youth to come out and enjoy everything the park has to offer. We are committed to the amazing mission of the Boys & Girls Club of enabling all young people to reach their full potential as responsible citizens.

Local Community Support

Local Community Support

Six Flags Over Texas supports the local community through organizations like Mission Arlington and the Tarrant Area Food Bank – through holiday toy drives, hosting food distribution events, school supply drives and more. In 2021, more than 120,00 pounds of food were distributed to needy families at distribution events at the park.

Ticket Donations

The mission of Six Flags Friends is to deliver smiles and thrills to children and families across North America, from the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Six Flags Over Texas is pleased to assist qualified Texas non-profit organizations with their fundraising efforts with a once a year donation. Six Flags Over Texas prides itself on being involved in the community by helping local public non-profit organizations through in-kind donations of tickets.
